My favourite part of my job is the fact that I get to travel so much but I recently went on a trip that I was really quite nervous about. I was invited to attend the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to find out about Huawei’s brand new product the Matebook. Now as much as I love technology, I will never profess to being a technology ‘know it all’ so being invited to an event by one of the biggest technology and communication brands in the world, was a little daunting. Luckily, they wanted to show how easy their new device is to use by everyone and how accessible it is and easy to fit into most peoples lives – especially those who often do business on the go. Shortly after landing in Barcelona, I arrived at the first hotel I would be staying at, H10 Itaca. The amazing decor in the lobby and sunset view from my hotel room was amazing and made for the most comfortable stay before heading to day 1 of the MWC. The actual building which held the event was absolutely huge and the Huawei booth was by far the most impressive with amazing wall features and products on display. As well as showcasing the brand new Matebook, other favourites of mine from Huawei was their interactive watch with some super chic interchangeable straps.
As well as attending the MWC, it was great that I got the chance to see a bit of Barcelona, although the trip was only a few days long, we made the most of the trip and managed to visit Sitges, a small seaside town about 45 minutes from the centre of Barcelona. Here I managed to take a walk along the promenade and make the most of the sunshine although it got a little colder in the evening – but being February I expected that and the weather was still loads better than what I had been experiencing in London! Below are some of my travel essentials from my trip to Barcelona. I’d like to thanks Huawei for the opportunity to experience the Matebook and Barcelona in such a great way.
