London Fashion Week Round Up of Events

So that’s it for until February, London Fashion Week is over and although Milan and Paris are yet to come I couldn’t be more relieved that the London stint is over.  I love fashion and I love seeing new designs, but if I’m honest, I’m not a massive fan of fashion week itself.  I appreciate that it’s a time for new and established designers to show their creations and I have been nothing but impressed with everything I’ve seen but it’s all the ‘extra stuff’ that I could do without.  The outfit choices, the uncomfortable but ‘oh so fashionable’ shoes, the back to back shows and events which turn some people into an uber tracking maniac and the weather which always seems to effect those at London Fashion Week more so than any other city hosting a fashion week!  To me fashion week is a week where I try to plan as far in advance as possible but no matter what, once it gets here I just approach it by ‘running through it with my eyes closed hoping I’ll come out the other end alive’.  That being said, check out some of the shows and events I went to or enjoyed most over London Fashion Week.

Some of the best parties also happen over London Fashion Week and this season was no different.  The HUNGER Magazine party hosted by Rankin was one not to miss and the Louis Vuitton Series 3 Exhibition launched this week as well.  It’s also great timing for any new stores to host an event with Sonia Rykiel and Alexander Wang being 2 of the most talked about events in town.  Look out for another post showing what I wore to each day of LFW coming soon to Idle Lane – subscribe so you don’t miss out!
