As we approach September, the holiday season is officially drawing to an end and the days are getting slightly more dull and colder. However there is still time to make the most of the few days that are pleasant which is what I did recently curtesy of Uniqlo and Virgin Experience Days. I enjoyed an amazing meal at Babylon Roof Gardens in Kensington and wore the perfect outfit from Uniqlo to do so which you can find on the Uniqlo site here. The shift dress with ruffled skirt is super comfortable and so easy to wear, for this occasion I dressed it up with heeled boots but it could easily be worn with flats on even some trainers for a much more casual look. The cream bomber jacket wasn’t needed until later on in the evening as the weather was relatively warm but the colour complimented the navy dress well and although varsity or bomber jackets are mostly connected to a dressed down look, the colour of this one keeps it looking effortlessly cool and chic. The sunglasses are also from Uniqlo and since getting these I have no taken them off, every so often you find a pair of sunglasses that match every outfit and seem to suit every face shape – that is exactly what I found with this pair! I also wasn’t aware that Uniqlo had such a great range of accessories for such great prices so I would definitely recommend checking them out using the link above.
The food at Babylon was absolutely outstanding, with a glass of champagne on arrival to the sweetest waitress who answered any questions thoroughly it was such a great experience. The views from the 7th floor rooftop over London are as amazing as you would expect and this was all before we’d even tasted the food! I started with a Buffalo Mozzarella salad with different coloured tomatoes (yes black and yellow tomatoes were included and very tasty!) before my lamb loin main. Before when I have been to restaurants like this the portions have been so small but the amount served for my meal was perfect and great value for the price of it. Plus the quality of all of the food was brilliant! I finished with a Chocolate Pave that was so delicious and the entire meal was accompanied by the live musicians playing relaxing soulful jazz music.
