September is a busy month in the fashion and beauty world. Fashion Week, events, parties, meetings, there’s so much going on. But this year it’s that extra bit special as a landmark birthday is celebrated by one of the world’s most loved beauty products. Burt’s Bees is 30 years old this month and although we already love this brand, I have recently found out some things that make me fall in love with it a little bit more. Read on to discover some facts on Burt’s most famously loved products and find out how you can be in with the chance to win 1 of 5 Burt’s Bees Heritage Sets! My Burt’s Bees Favourites: (from L-R) Ultimate Care Body Lotion, Almond & Milk Hand Cream, Hand Salve, Lip Gloss in Starry Night, Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, Beeswax Lip Balm, Lip Shine in Flutter, Lip Shine in Wink, Lip Shimmer in Plum, Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream.
The most popular product from Burt’s Bees is the World famous beeswax lip balm. This 100% natural balm is made up of beeswax, Vitamin E and peppermint oil, the last of these ingredients is what gives your lips a slight tingle when you apply it! Every year more than 11 million Burt’s Bees lip balms are sold and the natural ingredients mean that you are only applying goodness to your skin, therefore achieving good results. After the success of the lip balm, Burt’s Bees have created lip glosses and shines, all 100% natural and with a hint of colour available in 12 shades.
One of my ultimate favourite products from the Classic Collection is the Almond & Milk Hand Cream. The first thing I noticed about this is it’s amazing smell of marzipan! It is made up of sweet almond oil, aloe juice and beeswax all of which are good at conditioning skin without making it feel greasy. I am always out and about so having a handy pot of this in my bag is great for when my hands are feeling dry. Another product in the Burt’s Bees range is the Ultimate Care Body Lotion which is created using Baobab Oil to keep your skin moisturised all day. It’s also hypoallergenic and has no added fragrance so it’s super kind to your skin!

Burt Shavitz, from Maine used to make earn his living selling honey from the back of his truck. Simple. He then met Roxanne Quimby and from that moment on his fate was to change and the brand that is now used worldwide consisting of 150 products was born.
Originally candles were the main seller from Burt’s Bees, however in 1991 the company decided to create a lip balm, made from the exact same beeswax that had helped Burt earn his way throughout the years before.
My favourites from the Burt’s Bees range are:
Did You Know….
